15 minutes from the congress centre by taxi, this restaurant really is something special, and has the awards to prove it. TIAN has received three toques (17 Gault-Millau points in 2014) and a Michelin star (2014).

Places of Interest

Ringstrasse

Although not one specific place, taking a stroll along the Ringstrasse boulevard from Staatsoper to the Rathaus (City Hall) is one of the best ways to get a real flavour of the city.

Along the boulevard are a number of spectacular buildings such as the Vienna State Opera, Kunsthistorisches Museum, Parliament, Burgtheatre, Rathaus and the University of Vienna.

Wiener Riesenrad Ferris Wheel

Take a bird’s eye view of the city on this charming old fashioned Ferris Wheel. Taking a slow wirl on this attraction is a must for those visiting the city. For prices and more information click here.

Nationalbibliothek (National Library)

The National Library has unparalleled baroque beauty and houses a stunning frescoed ceiling that is more than worth the neck ache incurred from constantly looking upwards towards the artwork. For more information ahead of a visit click here.

Schönbrunn Zoo (Vienna Zoo)

Undoubtedly the most beautiful zoo in the world, it is regularly touted as Europe’s best. For ease of access, the least crowded of the zoo’s entrances can be found in the palace gardens next to the Neptune Fountain. For more information including prices and opening times, click here.
